Recruiting Guidance & Support
Rebels Gold Recruitment Basics: Mandatory 4-steps: All players are required to complete these steps to be part of the Rebels Gold Organization
Step one:
If you don’t have a FieldLevel account already, create one for free at https://www.fieldlevel.com/join. While paid options may be presented, purchasing is not necessary. Fill out your FieldLevel account profile as completely as possible, and be sure to join the “Rebels Gold” team roster in the app:
https://www.fieldlevel.com/app/organization/4yy9pmtn/softball/overview?m=3
Step two:
Fill out this Google form [https://forms.gle/kusT8wLxMbT98QGk9] to enter your basic information for Team Roster Sheets. Roster Sheets are placed behind the backstop during tournaments and showcases for college coaches to take. Example of a sheet shown below:
Step three:
Complete your individual player profile sheet (your softball resume). Contact Angie T. [lmaturton@gmail.com] to request a custom template you can use to build your player’s profile in Canva.
*If you don’t already have a Canva account, you can create one for free here: https://www.canva.com/login/
IMPORTANT: Only use the profile photo taken during the Rebels Gold photo shoot (white shirt, standard pose). Do not add extra images, graphics, or otherwise embellish your profile sheet. All players must use the same template. Once complete, email a copy of your profile sheet to:
- Ernie Marez, Head Coach, at: elmarez25@sbcglobal.net
- Angie Turton, Operations/Recruitment Coordinator, at: lmaturton@gmail.com
Step four:
Send your profile sheet, skills videos, and game highlights to college coaches on a regular basis. Keep your communication ongoing and professional. BE SURE TO COPY COACH ERNIE on all emails (he can help to put in a good word). Not sure where to start: Check out these NCSA College Recruiting Email Tips here: https://www.ncsasports.org/recruiting/contacting-college-coaches/email.
