The Rebels Gold Parent Hub

The Parent Hub is designed to provide families with all the essential information needed for a smooth and successful season. Our program thrives when coaches, players, and parents work together, and this page outlines the expectations, schedules, dues, and resources that keep our teams operating at a high level.

Rebels Gold is a competitive, nonprofit travel softball organization. We rely on clear communication, consistent preparation, and shared commitment from every family. Thank you for your partnership and support.

Program Expectations

Team Practices

All practices are mandatory.

  • Schedule:

    • Tuesdays & Thursdays: 6:00–8:00 PM at the facility (occasionally on field).

    • Pitchers & Catchers: 5:00-6:00 PM on Tuesdays at the Facility
    • Saturdays and/or Sundays when no games are scheduled.

  • Communication:
Weekly schedules and reminders are sent by Coach Ernie.

  • Arrival:
Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure practice starts on time.

Game Attendance

All games are mandatory unless previously arranged with the coaching staff. Consistent attendance is critical for team development, player progress, and competitive readiness.

Player Attire

Players must wear official Rebels Gold practice gear to every practice.

  • No leggings

  • No shorts

  • No non-Rebels shirts

This ensures uniformity, professionalism, and readiness.

Preparation

Players are expected to bring:

  • All required gear

  • Plenty of water

  • Snacks or nutrition for long days

  • A positive, team-first attitude

Financial Commitments

Team Dues

  • Monthly dues: Set by Head Coach. Inquire for current fee.

  • Due date: Every 1st of the month

  • Accepted payments: Zelle, Venmo, check, or cash

As a nonprofit organization, dues help cover facility costs, equipment, field rentals, coaching resources, and program operations.

Game & Tournament Costs

Players pay their share of friendly games and tournament fees.
Amounts vary based on the number of players participating for that event.

Fundraising

Participation in all fundraising activities is mandatory.
These efforts help keep dues affordable and support travel, equipment, facility upgrades, and scholarship opportunities.

Recruiting Guidance & Support

Rebels Gold Recruitment Basics: Mandatory 4-steps: All players are required to complete these steps to be part of the Rebels Gold Organization

Step one:

If you don’t have a FieldLevel account already, create one for free at https://www.fieldlevel.com/join. While paid options may be presented, purchasing is not necessary. Fill out your FieldLevel account profile as completely as possible, and be sure to join the “Rebels Gold” team roster in the app:

https://www.fieldlevel.com/app/organization/4yy9pmtn/softball/overview?m=3

Step two:

Fill out this Google form [https://forms.gle/kusT8wLxMbT98QGk9] to enter your basic information for Team Roster Sheets. Roster Sheets are placed behind the backstop during tournaments and showcases for college coaches to take. Example of a sheet shown below:

Step three:

Complete your individual player profile sheet (your softball resume). Contact Angie T. [lmaturton@gmail.com] to request a custom template you can use to build your player’s profile in Canva.

*If you don’t already have a Canva account, you can create one for free here: https://www.canva.com/login/

IMPORTANT: Only use the profile photo taken during the Rebels Gold photo shoot (white shirt, standard pose). Do not add extra images, graphics, or otherwise embellish your profile sheet. All players must use the same template. Once complete, email a copy of your profile sheet to:

Step four:

Send your profile sheet, skills videos, and game highlights to college coaches on a regular basis. Keep your communication ongoing and professional. BE SURE TO COPY COACH ERNIE on all emails (he can help to put in a good word). Not sure where to start: Check out these NCSA College Recruiting Email Tips here: https://www.ncsasports.org/recruiting/contacting-college-coaches/email.
